CompSource Mutual received two Governor’s Commendation awards at the 2012 Quality Oklahoma Team Day. Read below for more information about the award-winning projects:
CompSource Mutual’s green initiative
In late 2010, CompSource Mutual began a recycling program aimed at conserving resources and increasing environmental awareness throughout the workplace. As of April 2012, CompSource Mutual has saved an estimated 24 tons of paper and 99,212 kilowatt-hours of energy. This campaign is an ongoing effort that relies on employee participation to continue its success.
CompSource Mutual’s Medicare reporting compliance and education program
After hearing about changes to Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program Extension Act, CompSource Mutual quickly developed a team to become experts on the new Medicare Secondary Payer mandatory reporting requirements to ensure we were ready for implementation. CompSource Mutual’s Medicare compliance team developed compliance processes, which served as “best practices” when other government agencies were developing their own compliance procedures. Accurate reporting through our newly-developed system has resulted in CompSource Mutual and its policyholders not receiving any fines or penalties associated with the new requirements.
CompSource Mutual’s employees exceed food drive goal
CompSource Mutual’s employees’ participation in our annual food drive helps make a difference for those in need. Our support of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma has become a summer tradition. This year’s total exceeded our goal by more than 2,000 pounds. Food donations, along with monetary contributions, provided an estimated total of 6,314 pounds of food. All contributions further the local Food Banks’ mission to “fight hunger and feed hope.”
